Panda Walk (Week 5)
I finished my quadruped walk cycle animation today - I decided to do a panda because they're such adorable and funny creatures (and my favourite animal) and because their walk is quite interesting and slow. Unfortunately, I feel I didn't time this walk right as it's too fast, but I do think I got the offset timing of the front and back legs done well, though this would be easier to see if it was the correct walking speed for a giant panda. I made the back legs grey so they could be seen against the black of the front legs and fur pattern.
I started this task doing a cat, but changed to a panda because I thought it would be easier, especially as the legs have a less specific shape, however I did realise after studying panda walks a bit closer that they actually walk in a similar way, with the back leg dragging forward before the front leg on the same side starts to move.
