Drawing for Animation - Toy Story (Week 0)
Our first assignment in drawing for animation was called 'Toy Story', where we draw a toy in unique or everyday locations and then draw them. It was really fun finding places to put winnie the pooh to take a picture and try and frame it like a tourist photo or like a shot from a film. I drew mine in an A5 notebook.
The first drawing I did was of pooh inside my rucksack, almost as if he is peeking out to look at the world around him after travelling in my bag with me.
The second is at Falmouth's harbour, where I placed pooh sat on a buoy holder right by the water, with the boats and land in the distance.
The third is staged almost like an action sequence, where pooh is reaching for the yellow flower while balancing precariously on a thin branch.
The fourth is where pooh is placed inside a pizza box, and looks as if he's stuffed down more pizza than his body mass and has collapsed in the graveyard of his food.
The fifth and last is slightly harder to see, but if you look closely you will see pooh being thrown around like a washing up bouncy castle in the middle dryer machine.
